yoga techniques
I currently teach Yoga for Dancers – a class specifically tailored for dancers, but open to everyone, with different experience and abilities.
I created this class with dancers in mind, as I remember what I put my body through in the old days. The crazy stretches, to the point of excruciating pain, forcing the muscles to take shape, not allowing the body to rest.
I love showing dancers that there is a different way to achieve what we are after.

my yoga affair
I started learning yoga long before I started attending yoga classes. Having grown up with rhinitis, asthma and hundreds of mild allergies, I knew, instinctively, that there had to be a way of keeping the body healthy and the mind calm, and I wanted to learn this way.
Like many of you, I over-exercised to try and keep the body working and used chemicals to calm the mind. We know that doesn’t work.
I was already living in Ireland when I decided to join a local Hatha class. And Bang! (well, it was more like a Ping!). The body was working again, gently and respectfully this time. And the complex asanas really helped to calm the mind.
I continue studying yoga to this day. I learn from great teachers and traditions to create my self-practice. The calmness of Hatha, the props and control of Iyengar, the Shadow flow, and the precision of Shiva Nata (the latest addition to my practice).
Controlled, conscious movement is what our bodies need in order to quieten the mind.
