Movement has been part of my life since I can remember.
I was born in Brazil, and when I was around 3 or 4, I started taking ballet lessons. A few years later I moved on to jazz and rhythmic gymnastics. The gymnastics training taught me discipline and strength from a very early age, while jazz taught me the beauty of fluid movement. I studied and performed jazz and modern dance until late in my teens. In my early twenties I studied Latin rhythms and ballroom.
I moved to Ireland just before turning 24. And soon after that, I fell in love 3 times.
Firstly, I fell in love with yoga. My body had been pushed so hard with my dance and gymnastics training, that I did not know I could make it so healthy and strong by being so gentle to it. Yoga opened my mind, my eyes (and my hips!!) like nothing had ever before.
Then, I fell in love with Tribal Bellydance. I mean, WOW! Tribal Bellydancers move in a way that makes them look absolutely sexy and so so powerful. I just HAD to go and try it for myself, and 6 years later I’m still madly in love with it, teaching and performing as much as I can.
And then I fell in love with The Boy. My husband. We are currently building our love nest in the West of Ireland and working on our many plans together.
